Diana Murray Watts is a writer, curator and art advisor. She is currently pursuing a PhD in Philosophy, Art and Social Thought at the European Graduate School in Switzerland and Malta.

She was born in Mexico where she obtained a B.A. in  Journalism and Media Studies from ITESM in 2008. Diana received a merit-based scholarship to study an M.A. in Latin American Studies at the School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University, in Washington, DC.

Upon graduation in 2011, Diana joined the cultural departments of several embassies in Washington (France, Spain, Brazil and Luxembourg) to help them develop creative programming and sound strategies for the promotion of their national culture in foreign soil. Her strong experience in the realm of cultural diplomacy led her to work alongside head curators at the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden as well as the Phillips Collection. As an independent curator, she organized exhibitions such as Command-Alternative-Escape in Venice, Miradas de fe/Regards de foi in Dreux, and The Heart We Left Behind in Washington, DC.

Diana also served as an art educator for the Fondation Pinault when she moved to Venice, Italy in 2016. In 2022, she earned an M.A. in Art History and Archaeology from the Université Libre de Bruxelles, specializing in Museum Studies and Cultural Heritage Conservation. The following year she co-curated the contemporary art exhibition Forms of Life at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp in collaboration with MUDAM.

Based in Brussels since 2020, Diana is also board member ICOM Belgium. Her next publications – due for the Fall of 2025 – include the monography of the architecture firm A2M as well as the history of the ING bank headquarters in Brussels that is currently undergoing a retrofit.
